The album was released on November 21, 2000 in France and on March 13, 2001 worldwide. The album was produced by Mylène Farmer who wrote it and Laurent Boutonnat who composed it. The album became a huge hit not only in France but internationally as well. The songs on the album are about teenage life, doubts, love and greediness. The album became a huge success as it sold more than 300,000 copies in the first 3 months in France. Today, it has sold 800,000 copies in France. The album also sold more than 25,000 copies in Belgium and more than 40,000 copes in Switzerland. The album has now sold more than 2,000,000 copies worldwide. Four singles was released from the album. The first one, Moi... Lolita was released before the album itself on July 4, 2000. The other three singles was L'Alizé, Parler tout bas and Gourmandises. Moi... Lolita was the most successful single, reaching number one on the charts in several countries. Live versions of seven out of the ten songs exists on Alizée's live album, En Concert.
